Martini Force Field

The Martini Force Field is a coarse grained (CG) force field used for modeling lipids and small molecules (primarily). Martini is currently on version 3.

Martini coarse grains at the scale which one bead is the size of 4 water molecules. Martini 3 also allows a user to input a bead of size tiny (2 waters) or small (3 waters). Thus, the model has no hydrogen atoms, but is at a length scale small enough to tell atomic phenomena
